REGISTRATION
Registration is via PlayHQ. To register for the upcoming 2026-27 season, as a player, coach, volunteer or sports trainer - please see below link:

For families registering more than one player using the same linked account, a 15% discount will be applied to any additional players registration fees.
We accept the Northern Territory Government (NTG) School Sports Vouchers.
To apply the voucher discount to your registration - select ‘I have a government voucher’ on the Payment & Summary page, and enter your voucher code.
Please email your NTG Voucher to the club via manager@waratahfc.com.au so that the club can redeem these funds from the NTG.

JUNIOR AGE GROUPS
Junior Age Groups updated in line with AFLNT Memo dated 17 July 2025
U9 Players:
(a) have turned 7 years of age by 30th June in the year the competition commences.
(b) be less than 9 years of age on 1st July in the year the competition commences.
U11 Players:
(a) have turned 9 years of age by 30th June in the year the competition commences.
(b) be less than 11 years of age on 1st July in the year the competition commences.
U13 Players:
(a) have turned 11 years of age by 30th June in the year the competition commences.
(b) be less than 13 years of age on 1st July in the year the competition commences.
U15 Players:
(a) have turned 13 years of age by 30th June in the year the competition commences.
(b) be less than 15 years of age on 1st July in the year the competition commences.
U17.5s Players:
(a) have turned 15 years of age by 30th June in the year the competition commences.
(b) less than 18 years of age on 31st December in the year the competition commences.
AFLNT Junior Age change FAQs
1. What will the playing days be for the new age groups:
U9 - Wednesdays
U11 – Mondays
U13 - Friday/Sunday
U15 – Sundays
U17.5 – Friday, Saturday and Sunday (trailing Senior Competitions.
*Unless impacted by other events
2. What are the options for U18 players who do not qualify to play U17.5 Competition?
Players turning 18 between 1st July and 31st December of the relevant Competition Year, will have the opportunity to play in the U17.5 Competition if they meet player and club eligibility criteria as per Under 17.5 Over Age Policy.
3. What does this mean for Juniors wishing to play up a grade?
Playing up per grade will be capped to 4 games per player per Home & Away season.
Playing Up Consent
For those seeking to register a child for U9s who has not turned 7 years old before 30/06/2025, BUT turns 7 years old after this date, please complete below 'Playing Up Consent' form. Once completed please email to manager@waratahfc.com.au
The completed form will be provided to AFLNT for approval, once approved we will advise once registration has been opened through PlayHQ for completion.
*The 'Playing Up consent' form is also required to be completed for those children seeking to play in a grade higher than their age group as outlined above.
