The Aunty Cath Club Person of the Year award is named in honour of Auntie Cathie Nickels.

Sadly Aunty Cath recently passed away in May 2022. A true icon of our club, our game and the broader AFLNT, Aunty Cath will be remembered for her friendship, dedication and love of our club and her ‘Spunky Boys’.

Aunty Cath demonstrated until the end what it means to be a Warrior.

She leaves behind a true legacy, as the first female Club Secretary in the NTFL, the longest standing timekeeper of 35 years, the first female WFC Club Life Member and the first female AFLNT Life Member.

A fiercely loyal supporter, a force to be reckoned with and with quick wit, it’s no wonder the Club created the Club Legend status, a level above Life Member, for Aunty Cath to be the first ever WFC Club Legend.

On the 8th of June 2020 our club lost our dear mate Rooch in a tragic road accident. To keep his memory alive, the Alexander Aurrichio Humanitarian Award was founded.

A humanitarian is someone that is concerned with or seeks to promote human welfare. A humanitarian is compassionate, humane, unselfish, generous, merciful and kind.
