About Us

The club has a strong history of success with 15 Men’s Premier League Premierships, 8 Women’s Premier League Premierships and 18 Men’s Division 1 Premierships, just to name a few.

Waratah currently has over 550 players across 16 junior and senior teams, 300 members and countless, passionate supporters.

We have teams in all grades, starting with KinderKick (ages 2-5) through to both Mens and Womens Premier League.

The Waratah Football Club is a recognised nationally as a Women and Girls Chartered Club by the AFL. Being a

chartered club recognises the WFC’s ongoing commitment and championing of Women and Girls in Australian football.

This includes a commitment to being a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for all.

The Waratah Football Club has an established Indigenous Development Program, providing children, women and men, particularly from the Tiwi Islands, the opportunity to participate in sport in Darwin. In the 2023-24 season the Waratah Football Club provided this opportunity for approximately 108 players and further strengthened our connection with the Belyuen community. With previously only a men’s NTFL team on Tiwi, these women and children would have otherwise had no opportunity to participate in sport over that period.
